Office Décor That Inspires Creativity
/Have you ever needed a mental boost or a creativity jolt, only to walk into your office space and discover it was bringing you down rather than lifting you up? Perhaps you’ve created a make-shift office that isn’t helping you forge ahead in your business or career. Well, it might just be the color and décor that’s keeping you down. Did you know that gray, beige and even white offices induce feelings of sadness and depression, especially in women? Men experienced similar down and out feelings in purple and orange workspaces. This is according to a University of Texas study—similar studies have found that colors don’t just impact your mood, but also can significantly impact your productivity. This is why it’s so important to decorate your office space with a bright and vibrant show of eye-catching colors that increase productivity and spark creativity.
One of the main features of my office that consistently sparks my creativity is the gallery wall. When my decorator, Stacia Pierce, hand selected each piece of wall art, I was blown away once I saw how the puzzle came together to create a constant creativity flow which has helped to inspire me over and over again. I must say, pictures with quotes like…"Whatever you are be a strong one" or ”The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me” provide a bit of a direct boost. Here's a question to think about--what are you viewing on a daily basis in your office space and how is it inspiring you? Does it motivate you and give you energy? Are you ready to jump into a huge project and stay focused until it's done? If so I'd love to hear it!
