Fall Home Organizing

I absolutely love this time of year.  Being a Floridian, this is when amazing weather begins for the next several months.  This time of year will deliver crisp cold mornings where sweaters and jackets are all that is needed, open windows for a fresh breeze, and the opportunity to take in beautiful views.  It’s usually about now that my husband and I look around our home and say how can we upgrade, improve, redo, or reorganize our space.  Looking around we wanted to ensure that while the beauty of our home is superb, that behind the scenes the order that it delivered aligns with our lifestyle.

Why is this important?   Because clutter causes stress and stress can impact your health.  It’s so important to make your surroundings peaceful and develop a sanctuary of happiness within your home.  That happiness starts with finding organized systems that make sense for your family, to avoid huge one-time event cleanup projects that don’t last.  It needs to be a lifestyle with function at the heart of any beauty that is implemented.

Recently, I partnered up with my good friends at @HappyHomeManager to tackle some major pain points in my home.  These are areas that frequently become disorganized because they are high traffic areas, and they required a new design as to how they’re used.    It’s been an amazing feeling to add structure and order in places that always seemed to be disorganized.  That is why function and order are so important.  Checkout these before and after pictures of my pantry and closet storage, then go create your own organizational stories!
